François de la Rochefoucauld said: “The only thing constant in life is change.” In today’s tumultuous business environment, Francois’ quote would be an understatement.

The speed and intensity of change has surpassed all expectations and comfort levels.  Customer interests and satisfaction are more difficult to gauge, let alone manage. Product management and branding are increasingly problematic to administer, let alone innovate.  Meanwhile, the market circumstances continue to create tsunami conditions, throwing many organizations into unprecedented turmoil.  What’s the leader to do?

To be effective, management must remodel the company to not only expect chaos, but to thrive in it.  The customer is forever dynamic. The market is forever shifting.  Leaders must accept chaos as the norm, not the exception.
